In 1957, Lance's grandfather, Chet
Chenoweth, opened his first real estate office in Phoenix, Arizona. In
1958 Chet invested in Lake Havasu purchasing 1,700 acres. In 1963, Lance and his
parents, Lyle & Stellene moved to Lake Havasu and opened Havasu's first real
estate office.
Moving the London Bridge to Lake Havasu City, in those days, and building it
over the river was unimaginable!
Being a Realtor and selling real estate in Lake Havasu in those days was just as
inconceivable! Lance & his family watched as the London Bridge was being
constructed, granite stone by stone, and Pittsburg Point was transformed from a
peninsula into an island. There are few that have lived the history of Lake Havasu
City like Lance and his family. Today, the London Bridge is here and Lance & his
family still enjoy watching Lake Havasu City develop.
There's been a tremendous change in Lake Havasu City's
real estate market since 1963. Lake Havasu has developed from a dream drawn on
paper into the flourishing Colorado River community it is today. Being a
