Design
With several years of home building experience and having lived in Lake Havasu for most of her life, Sherry Matzdorff is familiar with the designing of homes that best accommodate the Lake Havasu lifestyle. Experience is also the key when it comes to ideas tailored to fit the new home builder’s needs.

Sherry's parents, Jerry & Bertie Hill, moved to Havasu in 1961. Jerry was
called upon to survey our Highway 95, starting at Parker Dam and finishing
at I-40. Jerry hiked every ravine and mountain in-between, footstep by
footstep, summers included. While Sherry's parents were living in Havasu,
she was born at the old Kingman Hospital because there was no hospital in
Havasu.
Lance's grandfather, Chet Chenoweth, purchased 1,700 acres of land just
north of the Lake Havasu City limits in 1958 after opening his Phoenix, AZ
real estate office in 1957. In 1963, Lance and his parents, Lyle &
Stellene Matzdorff, moved to Lake Havasu and opened the first real estate
office. Soon after, Chet & Lyle became known as The Flying Realtors
because they showed acreage from their planes.
Both Lance & Sherry have seen unfathomable changes as Havasu has grown.
The biggest changes were Pittsburgh Point being transformed from a
peninsula into the Island as the London Bridge was reconstructed and most
recently the beautiful town Havasu has blossomed into.
Sherry got into the home building business in 1987 and specialized in
custom home building with one of Havasu's most elite and well known
construction companies. Lance joined the family real estate business in
1988 and quickly made selling homes, residential lots and acreage his
specialty, being a multi-million dollar producer year after year.
They met in January 2000 and married 1 year later. In 2007, they put their
heads together to try to come up with a home that would be affordable and
at the same time give homeowners the luxury and comforts normally only
found in higher dollar homes. A lot of serious thought went into the
designing of this home. They opened their model home at 2181 North
Smoketree Avenue, on July 14, 2007. The 1661 sq. ft. floor plan is unique
with a spacious interior, tons of upgrades and comes in a 2 car, 3 car and
RV garage version. The 2 car floor plan will fit on lots as small as 65'
wide and 105' deep. The price makes this home affordable for everyone as
well. People are looking for better and better deals. We wanted to
